| John Spano, or just "Spano"--as the South Florida rock scene knows him by--has been in major market rock radio for 13 years. He grew up in South Florida, although he received his broadcasting degree from the University of Florida. He has produced and hosted the prime local rock radio show on every South Florida active rock station from Clear Channel's former flagship WZTA 94.9 Zeta to Cox Media Group's former WHDR 93 Rock and most recently, CBS Radio's WPBZ 103.1 The Buzz. He has promoted the best the South Florida rock scene has to offer for over a decade from his local radio programs, to hosting showcases and just being out in the scene. With his unrivaled knowledge of the South Florida rock scene, he has lent consultation services to radio stations, major music festivals, major record labels and even top producers and recording studios. Besides working with local rockers, Spano has interviewed on mic and on camera several national rock artists including Rob Zombie, Slash, Korn, Papa Roach, Creed, Nonpoint and A Day to Remember. |
